About The Institute

When you join the University of Leicester International Study Centre (ISC), you’ll take the first step on a journey towards gaining a prestigious degree from one of the top ranked universities in the world.

We provide specialist degree preparation for international students. Our programmes combine academic modules, study skills and English language training designed to provide you with the best opportunity to succeed when you progress onto your degree programme at the University.

As an ISC student you will be taught in St. Georges Tower, which with its modern classrooms and cutting-edge facilities, provides an excellent learning environment for international students. You’ll also have access to an extensive range of facilities on the University campus, including the library, sports facilities and Students’ Union. This means that you will be part of the University from the beginning of your programme.

We limit our class sizes so that you receive individual attention from our highly-experienced, expert tutors. You’ll participate in tutorials, seminars and lectures which will simulate the style of teaching you will experience on your degree at University. By the end of the programme you will be well prepared for university study and have the skills you will need to succeed.

We’ll do everything we can to help you settle into your new environment and feel welcome within our international community. We will also work with you to ensure you fulfil your potential, do well in your studies and get the results you need. By the end of the year you will be well prepared for undergraduate study.

Our ISC is located in a fantastic location in the heart of Leicester, close to the amenities of the bustling city centre and the train station, and only 20 minutes’ walk away from the University of Leicester campus. Leicester is a compact but vibrant city so you’ll have everything you need on your doorstep.
